Why I Won't Eat Pork

Okay, confession time: I do not eat pork. Here's why this matters to us and why it might matter to you too—especially if you're seeking health.
🐖 What’s Really Going On With Pork?
Pigs will eat anything—urine, feces, rotting carcasses, maggots, tumors—you name it. They’re not picky.
Pork digests fast, about 4 hours, compared to 8–9 hours for beef or venison. That means toxins hit your bloodstream faster and harder.
Pigs don’t sweat. Unlike other animals that detox through perspiration, pigs trap toxins in their tissue. You eat what they store.
Parasites love pork. Trichinae, tapeworms, flukes—there are over a dozen parasites that survive in pork, even with cooking.
Pigs eat snakes and survive venom. That tells you just how toxic and tough they are.
Pork decays fast. Insects and worms swarm pig flesh much faster than they do other meats.
Pigs digest in 4 hours; cows in over 24. Cows purify what they eat through four stomachs. Pigs don’t—what goes in quickly becomes their flesh.
Pork can transmit around 30 diseases to humans.
Trichinosis is real. This parasite can lodge in your muscles, intestines, even brain—often misdiagnosed as arthritis, MS, or digestive disorders.
Toxins ooze from their legs. Yep. Nature gave pigs a built-in drainage system for toxins that can't be expelled fast enough. Some of that ends up in the meat.
🕊️ But What Does the Bible Say?
Some Christians argue that avoiding pork was just an “Old Testament Jewish thing.” But God’s health laws weren’t about restricting joy—they were about preserving life.
God created pigs to be environmental cleaners—not food. When He tells us not to eat them, it’s not because He wants to control us. It’s because He loves us and is protecting our body.

❤️ For the Love of Health (and Pigs)
When I follow God's guidance, I feel better, think clearer, and live more peacefully. It’s not legalism—it’s love. Obedience is protection, not punishment.
Plus, pigs are incredibly intelligent. They’re as smart as dogs and often treated horrifically in slaughterhouses. That breaks my heart. For me, pigs are pets, not food.
🌀 So while some might still hang on to a bacon strip or two, I’m holding fast to my conviction: No pork, and no regrets. If you're on a journey to better health—body, mind, and spirit—this is one powerful place to start.
